What if my exchange is upgraded during my fixed price contract.
These are unforseen circumstances in which it is unavoidable to change our fixed prices.
The change from FTTC to FTTP can cost upto £160.00 to install the new equipment which has to be installed to use the Fibre connections from the cabinets. This will be inevitable as openreach will stop selling Fibre To Cabinet (FTTC) and only sell Fibre To Premises (FTTP).
So, we will split this cost across 4 months at £40 per month.
If you are at the end of the contract when the change occurs and you renew again, you can split the cost over the 4 months.
But, if you decide to leave (for example you have four months left) we can extend a month and we will honour the cost of your current monthly fixed price until the end (extending your contract by the number of months required) or you can pay the remaining monthly payment and leave at the time your contract ends.
What do you get from extending?
Easy, when you reach the end of your contract our prices may have gone up due to CPHI or other rises, so when you renew the prices maybe a little bit more (if our supplier raises their prices), but as we have extended the current contract, you get to keep the previous contracts prices for a little more time (only for as many payments as you have left) it's a win - win!
